2008 CPSI Research Competition Announcement
The Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) is pleased to announce its fourth Research Competition to continue its strategic mandate of increasing the scope and scale of research and evaluation activities in patient safety. The primary goal for CPSI Research Competition is to develop knowledge about patient safety that can be helpful in a variety of settings and circumstances in organizations across Canada. Research funded will have patient safety as a primary focus.

Annonce du Concours de recherche 2008 de l'ICSP
L'Institut canadien pour la sécurité des patients (ICSP) a le plaisir d'annoncer son quatrième concours de recherche en vue de poursuivre son mandat stratégique visant à accroître la portée et l'étendue des activités de recherche et d'évaluation dans le domaine de la sécurité des patients. Le but primordial des activités de recherche en matière de recherche de l'ICSP est de développer une connaissance approfondie de la sécurité des patients ; qui en retour pourrait procure une prompte applicabilité dans de nombreux services/établissements de soins de santé à travers le Canada. Les recherches qui seront financées auront la sécurité des patients comme principal centre d'intérêt.

Canada's Forum on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement April 28-30, 2009
With the increasing national and international focus on patient safety, the need for a broad forum for learning has been identified. Canada’s Forum on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement will provide multiple learning streams with a national and international flavour. The program for the forum will provide opportunity for a variety of professionals to participate, including, but not limited to, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health care providers, educators, leaders, researchers, and board members.
A few of the exciting speakers you will see at this event are:
Helen Bevan, Director of Service Transformation, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement; Lise Mathieu, Retired Major General, Canadian Forces; Commander of the Canadian Forces Health System.
The streams for the forum will fall under the following areas:

Call for Abstracts
The Canadian Patient Safety Institute invites you to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at Canada’s Forum on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement being hosted in Toronto, Ontario at the Westin Harbour Castle on April 28-30, 2009.
